"Get the Sensation" Linen Spray

So I have been crushing pretty hard on the Young Living essential oil blend, Sensation.  It is probably the most wonderfully smelling oil I have experienced.  It's intention is to promote happy, romantic emotions...and by golly it does!!

Not to get all personal on ya'll, but "lovin' time" is pretty minimal in our household with 2 kids, me being a stay-at-home mom, and the complete exhaustion that surrounds me at the end of each day.  My husband and I like to plan regular at-home dates since hiring a babysitter can get expensive and neither of our families are relatively close by.  Saturdays have become our day to relax together in the evening and make time for each other.

Still the desire for me to want affection can be difficult.  I've had to give 110% all day long and am constantly being affectionate (even when I don't want to be), to make boo-boos go away, carry a half-sleepy 3 year old in from the car, snuggle into the farthest corner of the couch just to read a book to my girls...the list could go on!

Sensation essential oil was suggested to me to "encourage" more loving feelings towards the hubs and so far it has worked!!  I normally apply it to myself and on him, but I thought a fun way to easily set the mood would be to make a linen spray!  That way I can just spritz our pillows each morning and evening to give our pillows a fresh scent and foster the lovin' feelings!!

"Get the Sensation" Linen Spray

Pineapple Habanero Salsa

So it's that time of year again when we use fresh ingredients grown from our gardens or bought at the local farmer's market.  I love fresh ingredients that I can grill up and make into something completely surprising and delicious!

Never in my life did I ever think I would grow habanero peppers in my garden, but this year my husband's co-worker gave us several spicy pepper plants.  I occasionally cook with jalapenos and use a serrano pepper every now and then, but I had NO idea what to do with the habaneros!  We gave a ton to a friend of ours who will EAT THEM RAW!!  Yes, you read that correctly but he pops those things in like "no big deal".  Seriously, he's crazy!

I mean, look at those beauties.  Even their color is HOT!

I had my hubby grill up some pineapple and tomatoes and get a good char on the peppers.  Then we blended it all up and WOAH (I'm really using a lot of capitals in the post, haha)!!  The salsa really packs a punch!  My husband would eat it straight from the bowl, but I needed to use it sparingly on top of my burger.  This salsa is on the sweeter side with a definite kick.  And I mean "pain in the ears" kind of kick!

You can almost see the heat rising!
